The two nearest airports are the Florence Airport Amerigo Vespucci and the Pisa Airport Galileo Galilei.

If you land at the FLORENCE AIRPORT AMERIGO VESPUCCI (FLR) the best way to get to the apartment is a taxi. Taxi companies have a flat rate from the airport to the city centre, 22 € + a baggage surcharge: 1 € for each piece of luggage. The taxi ride is about 20 minutes.

The alternative is to take the shuttle bus that will drop you at the Florence Central Station Santa Maria Novella. The bus is named VOLA IN BUS, the bus stop is on the Departures side of the airport. You can purchase the tickets either in the airport area at the Giunti shop, or on board. The ticket costs 5 € and it must be validated on boarding the bus. The ride to the railway station is about 25 minutes, departures are from 6:00 am to 11,30 pm every falf an hour.

 

From FLORENCE TRAIN STATION SANTA MARIA NOVELLA (SMN):  take bus letter D -the D bus stop is right next to the shuttle bus stop- and get off at Piazza Pitti. You can buy the bus tickets inside the train station, their cost is 1,50 €; always remember to validate them when on board. From Piazza Pitti to the apartment is a 5 minute walk. The bus ride to the apartment is around 15 minutes.

The same goes when you have to get to the FLORENCE AIRPORT from the apartment. The best way is a taxi, or you can take bus letter D from across the Old Bridge, on the right, in the Piazza del Pesce to the train station Santa Maria Novella. Then the shuttle bus VOLA IN BUS to the airport: departures are every half hour from 5:30 am to 11:00 pm.

From PISA AIRPORT GALILEO GALILEI (PSA):

From the Pisa Airport you can head directly to Florence Santa Maria Novella Station by the shuttle bus TERRAVISION that runs every half an hour from 6:30 am to 22:20 pm. The journey lasts 70 minutes, and the ticket costs € 4.99.

A new high-frequency transport system connects the Pisa Airport to the Pisa Central Station, the PISA MOVERTRANSPORT SYSTEM, running 365 days a year with departures every five minutes from 6 am to midnight. You can buy the tickets for the Pisa Mover trains at the automatic ticket machines located at the AIRPORT, at the PISA CENTRAL station, at Trenitalia authorized ticket offices, for tickets in combination with rail journeys. Each ticket costs 2.70 €, and is valid 18 hours from the date of issue.

 

From PISA CENTRAL STATION to Florence Central Station ( Santa Maria Novella): trains run from 4:15 am to 10:30 pm; the journey lasts 1 hour and the ticket costs € 8.50.

From ROME AIRPORT LEONARDO DA VINCI FIUMICINO (FCO) : from the railway station located in the airport the Trenitalia high speed trains Frecciargento reach Florence twice a day. Departures are at 11.08 am. And 3.08 a.m., the journey is 2H 14'. If your arrival time in Rome doesn't match with this schedule, you can take a local train to Rome train station ROMA TERMINI, and then a high speed train to Florence Santa MariaNovella.

From MILANO AIRPORT MALPENSA (MXP): you can either take an internal flight to Florence, or the Malpensa Express to the Milano Central Station and then a high speed train to Florence.
